BBC @ MediaCityUK
When the BBC relocates to MediaCityUK in 2012, substantial employment opportunities will be created in the region. CT has been privileged to contribute to this prestigious project.
CT was approached by their client, a major UK partitioning company, to quote and supply floor to ceiling glass doors and partitioning.
Due to the BBC’s strong brand identity and strict specifications from MediaCityUK, the brief was tight and demanding. On top of this the partitioning had to be compatible with their client’s bespoke partitioning system.
Why CT Glass?
CT was able to meet this brief and find a solution that could work alongside an existing partitioning system. CT was also able to adhere to MediaCityUK’s strict delivery instructions.
A selection of partitioning made up of 12mm toughened glass and 12.8mm acoustic laminated glass was installed. Following this, CT also created an interior balustrade consisting of 25.5mm special toughened laminate.
The success of the MediaCityUK project has led to more work with this client including the refurbishment of the BBC’s existing offices in London.
