Terminal 5, Project 2
CT Glass were approached by a leading national Glass Merchant to create a bespoke architectural piece for Heathrow Airport: Terminal 5.
A client recommended CT Glass to work for a Glass and Glazing company to produce wall cladding for Airside Offices within Heathrow Airport: Terminal 5.
To meet specification for style, design and usage, CT Glass met the Contractor onsite and carried out extensive factory testing to achieve the desired look.
Why CT Glass?
Whilst we normally work with Specialist Installers we are also approached by other glazing companies for complex projects where additional skill or technical processing capability is required. In this case it was important that the cladding complemented the rest of the environment, CT were chosen for our ability to meet exacting specification demands and flexibility to provide multiple samples for designers and installers pre-manufacture to help keep the project running on time and ensure smooth installation.
CT Glass used two thickness of laminated glass with a white interlayer to create 11.5mm thick wall cladding, to complement both a separate painted apple green glass used elsewhere in the offices and wall covering as specified. As well as matching the colour and successfully blending in with the surrounding environment, the cladding created a modern look and easy maintainable surface.
