Walsall Manor Hospital
CT Glass have supplied an Architectural Metalwork contractor based in the West Midlands with glass for a project at Walsall Manor Hospital.
The main contractor on the project had appointed the metalwork company to manufacture balustrading for areas throughout the hospital. CT worked closely with the company to ensure that the glass met the exact specifications required by the main contractor.
The extensive piece of work required the manufacture and supply of over 300 panels of laminated glass, totalling over 500 square metres, which were created using Dupont SentryGlas® interlayer, to create an extra strength laminated glass.
100 times stiffer and 5 times stronger than traditional interlayers, DuPont SentryGlas® structural interlayers help create safety glass that is an ideal component for minimally supported facades and canopies, overhead glazing, balustrades, flooring, stairs and pedestrian bridges.
Why CT Glass?
CT were able to provide the high quality product that was required as well as being able to meet a very short lead time. The glass needed to be delivered to site in timed delivery slots to fit in with the restricted access requirements of a working hospital, which CT were able to work around.
A high specification project which was completed on time and fulfilling both the client’s safety and design requirements.
