Optima Systems, a market leading partitioning company worked with CT Glass to produce a bespoke glass partitioning system as part of the complete refurbishment of Yell.com’s offices in Reading.
The extensive project required the manufacture of around 1000 pieces of glass, totalling almost 2000m2. The glass comprised 12mm toughened and 12.8mm acoustic laminate, which was utilised in the Optima double glazed partitioning system throughout the offices. The system was created using an aluminium channel that combines both types of glass, leaving a gap between them to provide superior sound insulating properties.
Why CT Glass?
CT Glass have extensive experience of manufacturing glass to be used in conjunction with partitioning systems companies, such as Optima. The project at Yell.com had very tight schedules and glass deliveries were required to fit in with the lift schedule and the rest of the refurbishment. The company was also able to supply the glass on moffett vehicles, with integral cranes, as there were no forklifts on the site and provided special trolleys to enable the glass to be moved around the site with ease.
The glass partitioning systems have created a modern environment which is light and airy yet offers the required sound insulation for a busy commercial building. Vinyl manifestations have also been added to the glass at a later stage, by the partitioning company, to provide a unique office space for Yell.com.
